Hi, I am Burke Jones. I wanted a way to document the evolution of a new ecommerce project I have underdevelopment that has the potential to change my financial life.

Update 7-25-05: While still focusing on bootstrapping my little internet business, this site will also chronicle my journey across all of my websites, not just the one I started this site to document. To many of you the financial steps will seem small, but that is the nature of getting started in affiliate marketing.

Even though I will not be talking specifically about products I sell on this site, I will be sharing tactics, strategies and services I use to grow my business. Of course I will also throw in plenty of my own thoughts to keep things interesting.

My Roles: Dad, Husband, Architect, and budding Bootstrapper.

My Background: I am a partner in a midwest Architectural firm. This year I have started a concerted effort to bootstrap my internet business to a point where the profits are $10,000 to $12,000 per month. I have always wanted to be in charge of my own destiny - and the low cost of entry into the internet at least provides me a small slice of this and is very fullfilling.

Having started selling things online in November 2001, I have many internet sites, ranging from affiliate only sites to real ecommerce ventures that sell products that are drop shipped. The revenue from these alone is more than enough to allow my wife to stay home with our 3 small children.
