Since it is the middle of May, I thought I better get around to doing my wrap up of April.
Project 'x' - The second month of business was a good improvement over March. I sold several full orders, as well as got three new subscribers. Right now I have 4 subscribers. I also 44 affiliates - with only a handful that are sending traffic. This is a tough market, so it is going to take longer than I anticipated to see how this site will actually turn out. It is a matter of getting traffic, the conversion ratio is around 3%, but my daily visitor count is just to low. I am working on some things to drive more traffic for free - but it will take time.
Affiliate Content Sites - I have two active sites right now: Pet Health, and Trailer Hitches. For the month of April I made a grand total of $12.59 (Google Adsense and Affiliate Programs). I have 64 pages of content on the Pet site, and 55 pages on the trailer hitch site. Neither site has been fully indexed by the major search engines. As time goes by, I know these revenue numbers will improve, I just have to be patient with the search engines.
I have three other markets identified - cellulite cream, payday loans, and replacement windows. I have 56 pages of content written for the cellulite site, and it should be live this week. The payday loan site and the window site will be live by the end of this month with at least 50 pages each.
My goal is to have 1,000 pages of content online for these 5 sites by the end of 2005. That would put each site at 200 pages or so. My goal is $500 per site, per month. I think it is doable with time.
