Sales rolling in - Infoproduct #2

Just a quick note tonight.  Sales are rolling in on Infoproduct #2.  I had 2 sales yesterday, and 5 today.

Adwords is absolutely rocking - clicks are higher than ever, with a great CTR.  This is effectively driving down my CPC.  Nice!

It makes me wonder how many sales I was loosing to visitors that did not have cookies enabled when I was promoting my competions ebook as an affiliate before launching my own product.

Infoproduct #1 - changes

I made a small change to the sales page on Infoproduct #1 last night.  I added a pop-up that offers 2 free chapters of my ebook.  There are 26 total, so I am not giving away to much.

What I am hoping is that when they see the quality of the first to chapters they will come and purchase the book.  I am only sending the first chapter on day one - as a pdf attachment.  Then on day two they get the second chapter - also as a pdf attachment.

So far about 7% of the people that see the pop-up are signing up. 

I am learning so much - and having a great time.  The nice thing about PPC is the traffic is instant, so you can almost instantly see the affects of changes you make.

Infoproduct #2 Live!

Infoproduct #2 went live last night! 

The product will replace one that I was promoting as an affiliate.  I noticed my conversion rate dropping the last couple of days.  So I popped over to the merchants site and all the images were not showing!

So I decided to work my butt off and get my site live.  So far so good, had one sale already.  I also updated my autoresponder and "review" page to go to my site.  It will take a couple of days before the Adwords account catches up.  Whenever you change an ad, it has to get reviewed again before it is fully distributed.

Over the next several days I will be loading up the autoresponder at Aweber that customers will be subscribed to.  I hope to have several months of weekly contact loaded in by the time I am done.   There are tons of related products that I can push - it will be interesting to see how the backend sales go.

Infoproduct #2 progress

The ebook is basically done for Infoproduct #2.  I also worked on the sales page a bit, it still needs some refining but it is close.

For this project I ordered an ebook cover from KillerCovers.com.  It looks like the do nice work, and I need a nice cover.

My main competition has a cover on their site, but it looks crappy - I want mine to be better than theirs - which is why I outsourced this item.

My ebook is so much better than my competitors, so that feels good to know I am at least providing good information, actually better information than the competition.

I don't know if I will launch this site this week or not.  I still have several backend items that I want to get set-up before I start making sales.  Plus my cover will probably not arrive until next week.

Today in the mail I received a cute little box from Google!

Inside the box as a burgundy colored carrying case which contained:

• a miniture mouse
• a thumb drive
• a really cool USB powered LED light for my laptop
• a 4-port usb hub

Wow!  Thanks a ton Google!! :)

The Buzz has been drop kicked!

I have been a subscribe to the Affiliate Buzz by James Martell since earlier this year - but I cancelled my subscription last week.

I won't go into details on why, so lets just say I was REALLY tired of it!

I have instead turned to the PodCasting world for my drive time information.  I have a few really good ones that I will gather together and share in another post.

Working on my next Info Product

I spent my lunch hour working on Info Product #2.  I am really excited about this product.

I am currently promoting a similar product via one of my Adwords campaigns, and it is converting well.  I actually bought this product, and I was shocked at how sloppy it was!  I know something about this topic, so I am simply writing my own - and it is SO much better than the one I am currently promoting.

I hope to have the ebook finished up this week, and I might even be able to get the sales page put together.  I also purchased the domain name for it today.  Hopefully by this time next week, the site will be live and the sales will be rolling! :)

2 Sales Today - Infoproduct #1

Whoot!  Two sales rolled in today on my first info-product.  I started running Adwords on Thursday - the first couple of days on any new campaign tend to start out slow as far as clicks go, then ramp up over the next couple of days.

Right now the site is converting at 1% - with a FANTASTIC ROI.  Both the sales have been from the highest price of the three that I am testing with the split test script.  Great news!  I am going to run the test until each page has received 500 clicks.  This should give me a statistically solid foundation to make a decision with. 

I will be fine tuning the Adwords campaign over the next few weeks as well as starting a newsletter for customers that purchase the ebook - more on how I am setting up the newsletter later (it will be almost automatic).

The other Adwords campaigns are still performing nicely!  Have a great week!

Info Product #1 - Launched!

Worked my butt off today at lunch, and then wrapped it up this evening - Info Product #1 has launched!

I finished up the sales page - still needs some tweaking, but it works for now.  I also created the "thank you" page.  Then I went over to Clickbank, and applied for a new account to sell this product thru.  $50 bucks later and about 10 minutes my account was approved.

I actually made 3 sales pages that offer the ebook at 3 different prices.  I also set-up a split test script that will equally show these pages and record sales - so that I can see which price point converts the best.  I set it up to run so each page gets 500 views, then it will automatically direct visitors to the highest converting page.  I am sure I will keep an eye on it, and know before I hit the end of the test, but set it up this way just in case.

Then I headed over to Adwords and set up my campaign.  Right now I have several adgroups in this campaign so the ads are really targeted.

I have already had 5 clicks in just a couple of hours.  Once the ads start running on the content network and search partner sites, I am sure the traffic will take off.  There are a couple of other ebook products in this niche that use Adwords.  They have been running ads for at least the last several weeks that I have been researching the competition.  So they are either loosing money if they are stupid, or more likely they have a positive ROI.  My sales page looks much better, so hopefully I can beat them out.

100 Subscribers!

Today I broke the 100 mark with subscribers to my autoresponder series.  Actually, I currently have 87 active users - a few have unsubscribed, and some have finished the series.

The last two days my conversions have been awesome, I can only figure that the pipeline of subscribers are starting to pay off.  So far this month I have more than doubled the gross sales from what I did in November!

Over the weekend, I actually purchased the ebook that I am promoting on the landing page and autoresponder series.  What an eye-opener!  I could write a better e-book on this subject - which is exactly what I am going to do.  :)

As an affiliate I am currently making more than 50% commission, but I figure my product could be better, plus the customer will be mine.  This will be a project for January.  I have to get my current project finished first (see next paragraph).

Current Project:  I have not mentioned it on the blog yet, but I am about to launch my own ebook.  I have the book, and I am currently working on the sales page.  I hope to have the site live sometime early next week.  I will be promoting it thru PPC - and hopefully pick-up some affiliates via Clickbank in time.  No it is not about internet marketing.

I am really happy with how this PPC marketing is working out.  As I start to develop my own products, the ROI should also improve since I will be keeping the entire sale amount.  The biggest bonus will be that I can also market other related products to my customers.

I have big plans for 2006 - it should be exciting!
